Management accountability
The Commission, as a legal entity, is constituted by the President and the Commissioners. The President is the senior member of the Commission. The Commission meets every six-to-eight weeks to make its decisions. All meetings are minuted. -

Muslim Women's Arts Project (2010 - 2012)
Creative art forms will include installation, printing, drawing, photography, henna and other organic material, painting, etching, textiles, jewellery, sculpture, sound and video. Artists will participate in two 3-day Laboratory Intensives that will include workshops, field trips and group discussions. The year will culminate in an exhibition to showcase the work. -

Update on sterilisation forum
In late 2001 the Attorney-General's Department organised a Forum on Illegal Sterilisation of Disabled Minors, which brought together officers from a range of government agencies. The Forum identified a number of legal, education and information activities that might be undertaken to ensure illegal sterilisations do not occur. Those who've come across the seas: Detention of unauthorised arrivals (1998)
HREOC’s report, tabled in federal Parliament on 12 May 1998, deals with the policy of mandatory detention of most unauthorised arrivals and the conditions of detention for those detained. The report had its origins in the many complaints received by HREOC from, or on behalf of, people in immigration detention centres. -
