Former Sex Discrimination Commissioner Elizabeth Broderick
Elizabeth Broderick was appointed for a five year term as Sex Discrimination Commissioner in September 2007. The term was extended to September 2015. She was also the Commissioner responsible for Age Discrimination from September 2007 until July 2011. -

The Hon Catherine Branson was appointed President of the Australian Human Rights Commission on 7 August 2008 and commenced her five year term on 14 October 2008. On 12 July 2009 she additionally became the Human Rights Commissioner. -
