The shopping centre said the complainant’s experience did not align with its values of inclusivity and accessibility. The shopping centre said it apologised to the complainant publicly on her Facebook community page on the day of the incident. The shopping centre undertook to review relevant policies, procedures and briefings to staff and vendors.
The complaint was resolved. In addition to the steps already taken by the shopping centre, it was agreed the complainant would be offered a $500 supermarket voucher.
